About Summer Camp

Food Art for Kids summer camp is a daily educational  / instructional program for kids 5 to 11 years old. The program runs Monday through Friday, 9 am to 3 pm. Our doors open at 8:30. After care can be arranged.  We are located at the lower (huge!) hall of the Assumption Church on Cranberry St. in Brooklyn Heights.

Here is a description of a typical camp day (Monday through Thursday):

Fridays are our pizza party days. The kids make pizza from scratch (dough and all) and top it with their favorite toppings. On that day we also make ice cream in a bag for dessert.

Please note: once a week (either on a Tue or Wed) campers 6 yo or older can choose to go on a field trip to a food related destination such as a bakery, food market, restaurant etc. Past destinations included the Union Sq. Green Market, Baked Bakery in Red Hood, Sullivan St Bakery, and Fairway Market.  Campers who are 5 years old, or who choose to stay on site, enjoy group based activities led by the counselors.
